Gillian has taken me on a journey that absolutely wrecked me. When you start this book, be prepared for a long night, because you will not want to put it down (just a fyi, make sure you have a box of tissue at the ready). I never really realized how much emotion words can pull out of you, and how much you can truly care about fictional characters until reading this incredible book. It’s really a true masterpiece. Trinity is a young woman who believes she tainted by an encounter that will forever impact her life. Hendrix is a man with one goal in mind and that is owing his own garage. One chance meeting with Trinity (Fruit Loop) changes all of that for him. This extraordinary couple will have you laughing, crying, and truly believing in the power of love. This author has created such strong, well-developed characters that convey such emotion and depth, that it leaves you feeling the same things that they do, which makes the story and characters seem so real. This beautifully told love story isn't for the faint of heart but it does shed a light on a topic that most would shy away from. This book is about believing in something or someone and not letting your fear and your past mistakes rule you or your life. It's about having hope when the deck is stacked against you. It's about no matter how much baggage you carry, there will always be someone to help you shoulder your load and take it off your hands. I truly am in love with this tale and can't wait to see what this author does next.
