        Read a m/m romance! Well not me because I write them and love ALL things romance. 

It can be challenging to think about venturing into another genre of romance, especially when you find one that you love. I was this person. A few years ago, I would only read paranormal (because you know vampires and shifters are awesome) and believe it or not, I would scoff at romance novels. I mean, didn’t all of them have Fabio on the cover with his ripped body and long blonde hair? Oh and there was insta-love and they all lived happily ever after. Well, I’ve always admitted when I was wrong and boy was I. 

I ventured into the romance world strictly by accident, stumbling upon the Indie world and falling in love, yes you guessed it, instantly! I quickly read and realized that romance comes in all different shapes and sizes with story lines that are so sweet they will give you a cavity or so heart retching that I found myself clinging to my husband for dear life like a damn spider monkey! 

With this new love for romance novels came my own story lines and the desire to embrace all things romance. Now, don’t get me wrong, my stories aren’t always sweet and not everyone gets their happily ever after but they are real.  This is why I write various genres within romance. I made this decision because I believe that regardless of your age, sexual orientation or waist size we all desire to be loved and cherished for who we are. I want to show readers that love can be found in the most unexpected places and that love can be for everyone.

So when considering whether to purchase Fix You or Losing You, which are both m/m novellas that I wrote, I ask that you do so with an open mind. Remember your love for romance and understand that love is no different for two men or two women for that matter. Love is simply a coveted feeling, a connection so strong that we feel it deep within our bones. So give them a try, and fall in love with Maxwell and Jason and Brad and Colton.

While Dusk drifted away from him, Kent found himself drawn to inspecting the man. He had longish dirty-blond hair, wavy, and out-of-control; it matched the scruff on his face which was barely more than a five o’clock shadow. He had tanned skin likely from days spent under the heat of the Florida sun, which only served to make his incredible blue eyes stand out.

Those eyes glanced back toward him as if sensing his perusal. Dusk winked at him and waved cheerily. It only worked to make the blue even brighter.

Kent could easily spot at least three tattoos on the dog walker with his beach attire of khaki shorts and a tank top. He had an island and ocean scene on his left arm while his right had several symbols on it that looked almost like doctor symbols, but might’ve been for a vet instead. The edges of some sort of map peeked out from under his shirt in the back.

A few more steps sent Dusk out of his view. It left Kent with one lasting impression—the man did have a nice ass. He might put up with the barking dogs for a closer look at it each morning. Not the chickens, however. Maybe he could write to Popeye’s to offer them up. The locals might not be too thrilled with him, but he might get to sleep in a little.

Stretching his legs out until his feet dug into the sand, Kent relaxed against the steps with his eyes closed against the sun. Florida had certainly not done anything for his productivity. His type-A need to accomplish tasks had taken a nosedive over the last few weeks.

The wide shoulders and thick thighs added to his appeal. By memory, he looked like something someone made in a lab, too perfect to be real. His shoulder-length black hair and hazel eyes were the metaphorical cherries on top. When he called me a kid, it pissed me off, though. In hindsight, he probably thought I was overly defensive, but I didn’t want someone as attractive as him thinking I’m too young. Or too young for him. He is what, thirtyish? Annie didn’t tell me how old he is. Actually, come to think of it, she didn’t tell me much at all in regards to him, only that she knew a guy called Stoke who co-owned the shop and could maybe hook me up. With a job, not him, I berate myself.

“Oh,” Annie says. “Didn’t I tell you? He lives next door.”

My eyes snap to hers and the knife I’m holding drops into the sink. “What?”

“He’s my next door neighbor. That’s how I know him.”

“How did you not mention that?” I ask, honestly curious.

She shrugs. “I guess the last thing I think about when I’m talking about Stoke is the fact that we’re neighbors. More importantly, he’s my friend. You know, just like off Shameless? Kev and V are like family friends, sometimes the fact that they’re neighbors slips the mind.”

The reference to one of our favorite TV shows distracts me for a moment before I take in the information. Shit. This complicates the situation. Not only do I have the hots for my new boss, he’s friends with my sister, and actually lives in the house beside us. Fortunately, I have a few things going for me. This Ben guy is straight. Plus, he thinks I look young; therefore, there is no way he will be interested in me. That all sounds pretty upsetting, but the thing is, the only guarantee that never fails to turn me off a guy is their disinterest in me. I’m not much of a masochist at all, so I’ll be fine.

His shaggy, sandy-blond hair covered his eyes, and a deep tan highlighted his sharp cheekbones. He had a baby face; hell, compared to me he was a baby. Still, that silky-smooth face called out to be kissed without mercy.

I wanted to be the one to do just that.

He pushed the hair out of his eyes. The chocolate-brown pools that hid underneath were visible for a brief moment before gravity won the battle, and his hair fell right back to where it had started. 

His constant battle with his hair was one of those things I had always adored about him. Every time he ran his hands through his hair, I couldn’t help the twinge of jealousy I felt. I wanted to be the one to unearth those eyes that matched the shade of my morning coffee. 

I was pretty sure Blake didn’t know anything about my feelings for him, and that was for the best. For the sake of both our jobs, I kept my emotions in check, burying those feelings as deep as I possibly could. The last thing I wanted to do was have my way with him and then have things go south. They always went south for me—and then I’d be stuck having awkward encounters with him every day, or even worse, he’d leave, and I’d have to get used to a new delivery driver. Neither situation was appealing, so I did what I had to do to maintain the status quo. I even kept my thoughts about him secret from my best friend, Lydia, the manager of Parts and More. I already knew my obsession with her employee was taboo; I didn’t need to give her the chance to mock me for it, too.
