VIDA'S REVIEW

Once again S. Layne has blown me away with such a touching and wonderful story of second chance love and compassion that you can't help but fall in love with this story. Talia has given up on love after her first love took her virginity and never looked back. Donovan was that first love but had issues of his own to deal with and has regretted the decision he had made. What brings them back in each other's lives is Donovan's nephew who visits Talia teen shelter where he goes because he's dealing with grief from the loss of his family. Donovan has never really gotten over Talia and makes her and offer she can't refuse but he's hoping that she accepts it for a life time. The chemistry between the two is still and explosive and the compassion that they both share to help other kids in situations that doesn't seem fixable is commendable. This book was well written and really touches on issues that we as society tend to overlook if it's not on the news. I was truly touched and honored to read and review a book with so much heart and can't wait to see what S. Layne has in store next.

MUST READ BOOK 1 to fully understand the story. I love the fact that we pick up right where S. Layne left us and the tale just keeps getting better. This book shows you that forgiveness and love go hand and hand. Sometimes you have to put aside your pride and dig deep to recognize that when you love someone its unconditional and be it good or bad that person will forever be in your heart. Laurie has a tough decision to make and I'm proud of the outcome and her decision. It's hard to sum up just how much this book touched me without giving away any of the plot. To me Laurie comes out better and a stronger person than even she realizes, after all is said and done remember that because someone is GOOD to you doesn't mean that there good FOR you.

This book is a gripping tale from the first page until the last. I believe that it will resonate with readers everywhere due to the emotions that it will pull from you. When we first me Laurie she contemplating on whether or not to stay married to her husband who was unfaithful to her, with her best friend no less. She decides that since she's going away for her job to also decide what it is she will do. Once away she literally runs into the delightfully delectable Liam who's knows what he wants and isn't afraid to go after it. A dinner invitation leads to a night of mind blowing sex but what happens the morning after. No strings attached turns into SO MUCH more in this amazing story. The tale that S. Layne weaves will leave you intrigued and just when you thought all of the surprises were done for, you get hit with more uncertainty, more questions, and of course a CLIFFHANGER! I'm extremely excited for this sexy, emotional new series from S. Layne and what direction she will surely take this captivating read.
