What a wonderful tale and I'm looking forward to diving into more writings by this fantastic author. Taylor is book 7 in a series but can be read as a standalone. Taylor had a rough beginning growing up with a father who was a General and believed in military training in and out of the war. Gracie has loved Taylor from the time that they were toddlers and didn't know what love actually was,she has watched out for him along with her mother as a promise to his mother. Taylor had demons from growing up with the General and Gracie had information that she was holding back from him hoping that he would remember her. When these two finally start reconnecting is intense and moving because we see Taylor realizing that not everything he learned about his family is quite true. He meets members of his family that he didn't even know about. What I loved most about this book besides the characters, and intriguing storyline is the true heart of the matter. That even though their soldiers and have fought to protect everyone, that they also have a story of hope and perseverance that will touch your soul.
