I don't know how Lani does it time and time again but this new romantic suspense will knock you for a loop and have you begging for more. Evander was locked up for a crime he didn't do upon release there's no one to welcome him home other than his dog and he old boss who gives him his job back no questions asked. He literally runs into Kennedy who is starting to learn the hard way that love is not unconditional and that the ones to turn their back on you first is family. They are like to peas in a pod in my book and that is was draws them together. I love a good suspenseful romance and this book is par for the course. This book was a delight to read and the secondary characters are friends that we all will want rooting in our corners. I'm so captivated by this series and can't wait for the next book.
