The guy got a lucky punch in today, and the damn mat cut me.” “Black eye and a cut, but you still won,” I said lightly. That didn’t really seem like a win to me. He grabbed my hand and pressed a kiss to my fingertips. “Stop focusing on that.” He grabbed me around the waist and lifted me into his lap. I straddled him and I wrapped my arms around his neck. “I’m thirty-nine, honey, but that doesn't mean shit. I can beat half the guys out on the circuit.” “I do have to admit that it’s pretty hot that you can beat up someone half your age.” He chuckled and shook his head. “As much as I’d love to compete against those guys, I compete in the thirty-five and older bracket, honey. I just train against those guys which gives me an advantage against all the other old guys trying to get their asses kicked.” I ran my fingers through his silver hair and smiled. “You really are a Silver Fox Ninja,” I muttered.
I truly love this series and each book just keeps getting better and better. It's now Dante's turn he's the older gentleman of the group of friends who opened up Powerhouse M.A.. Kennedy has always wanted to own her business so she opened up a yoga studio, but it was never enough for her mother who was constantly trying to fix her up with her father's stodgy friends so she would have someone to always take care of her. Enter her best Karlton with his hair brain scheme to fashion a decoy so her mother will get off her back. You know what they say about best laid plans they never go according to plan and neither does this great idea. Dante decides to be the decoy but for him he's playing to win and all bets are off when it comes to Kennedy. Every word on every page will have you turning the pages to see what will happen next or what quirky word will pop out of any of the outstanding cast of characters in this delightful and humorous book. That ending though is perfect for the next book and I'm salivating to get my hands on it ASAP!!!
