VIDA'S REVIEW

This was sweet and delightful read that I adored. Emily is an ad exec who doesn't believe that happily ever after is real, and certainly not prince charming. After watching her mother lose herself once her father decided to leave the family, has really made a impact on her life. She's tasked with the responsibility of going over seas to help a reality tv show about a prince looking for a royal bride. Prince Luc ways has made him a target for the media so his father tells him to find a wife or be disowned. From their first meeting there's this underlying chemistry that they both feel but don't act on. As Emily gets to know the dashing Luc she realizes that everything is not as it seems and just maybe not every man is like her father. This book has great writing was fast paced and definitely enjoyable. It goes to show you that when you least expect it your very own prince charming might just show up. I for one can't wait to read more from this author.

Her Secret Prince
by Madeline Ash
Genre: Contemporary Romance

At sixteen, Dee Johnson gambled her heart on her best friend Jed Brown – and lost when he disappeared without a trace.
Ten years on, Dee’s life is uprooted when Jed turns up on her doorstep, asking for her help.
Dee has been left behind by everyone she’s loved: her parents, her close friend Alexia, and a stream of lovers. She moves fast with men and suspects this is why they move on fast. Now that’s Jed’s back in her life, she’s taking no chances. Despite the attraction ripping at her seams, she holds back, knowing she wouldn't recover from being loved and left by him a second time.
A constant traveler, Jed has only felt at home once in his life – with Dee. Now that he’s found her again, he's determined to make up for lost time. He'll never leave her again.

VIDA'S REVIEW

Dee Johnson fell in love with Jed Brown at 16 years old, they started off as best friends neither one acting on their feeling until one night and get caught by his mom. That was the night that destroyed a young girls heart and made her wish for what was. Years later Jed tracks her down because he never forgot about that night and he had some unanswered questions. Dee is the same confident, sassy heroine without a filter that Jed slowly starts to fall once again but first he needs answered to question that she can't really answer. They take a trip that leads to a discovery that neither imagines and gives them the HEA that they have always deserved. I enjoyed this book tremendously and was thrilled to discover this remarkable series that you do not won't to miss out on. With the story the writing was fantastic and the plot was imaginable. I truly believe that there's a prince out their for all of us.

Fun facts for Her Secret Prince | Madeline Ash

  1.  The working title for this book was Surprise, You’re a Prince! right until I typed The End. As you can tell, I don’t take my working titles very seriously…
  2.    The heroine’s name is Dee Johnson. She strives for anonymity online, so her social media accounts are all under the pseudonym Dijon Son because it sounds the same.
  3.  The hero, Jed, is a comic artist. He has a twist planned for his work-in-progress. It’s not revealed in the book (Dee hates spoilers, so stops him right there), but I know what it is and wish I could draw well so I could do it myself.
  4. As a child, my favourite royal fairytale was The Princess and the Pea.
  5.  If I put all the characters I’d ever written together in a room, Dee would be the one most likely to draw everyone together.
  6.  When asked to write a royal romance, I quickly took to the idea of neither character knowing about Jed’s true lineage. I call it a ‘regular to riches’ story – two normal people whose lives are turned upside down by the revelation.
  7.   The royal family name is Montaigne. I chose this with the French philosopher Michel de Montaigne in mind, who found his own judgement the most reliable way to examine the world. I felt this honest approach fitting for a royal family.
  8. Dee is an unashamed hipster. I just love the idea of a hipster princess!
  9.   I consumed many cups of tea and chocolate teddy bear biscuits while writing this book.
  10.  The royal castle is (naturally) based on Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany.
  11.   Dee débuted in THE PLAYBOY, as the supportive yet blunt best friend. She got all the best lines. As I battled to stop her taking over the story, I decided she needed her own. She piped down after that.
  12.  Although Dee loves coffee to the point of addiction, I’ve never had a cup in my life and don’t understand what she’s on about!
  13. I love reunion stories. HER SECRET PRINCE is book two in a four book series, all based around best friends and the reunion trope.

Playlist for Her Secret Prince | Madeline Ash

I often write with music playing, as it influences my mood and consequently the tone of the scene. Because of this, it’s important to play the right tunes – I remember struggling to get a fun and flirty scene right a few months ago, before I realised Sigur Ros was dampening the dialogue!
While writing HER SECRET PRINCE, I used music to delve beyond Dee’s vivacious persona and reveal her vulnerabilities. Sometimes I can’t concentrate if the lyrics are too distracting, so some of these are just mood enhancers, but these were the most popular songs on my playlist:

Madeline Ash

Madeline has always lived in Melbourne. She is emotionally allergic to spontaneity, and yet doesn't mind the weather that drags her into rain when she's planned for sunshine. She likes to call this her wild side.
She's a Virgo, vegetarian, and once had a romantic suspense-style dream in which the hero was a shredded lettuce sandwich and the villain was a cherry tomato. The tomato got away. She took the dream as a sign that she'd better stick to writing contemporary romance.
Her stories have spunky heroines, strong heroes, and as much dialogue as she can cram in. As for why she writes romance, she's in a long-term relationship with the genre and writing such stories makes it happy.
