Well I have to say that Kelli McCracken has done it again. Dylan, Heaven and yes Mr Layne Perry have entered my life again and I am caught in the web of these characters. The characters have been slowly developing and evolving as this series has continued but none more than Layne. This book really shows us the true struggles that he has been going through being part of this heavenly trio. (Yes pun intended). 

This is simply an amazing book and I couldn't stop reading it. I will not give away the plot or story because honestly you need to experience Kelli's writing genius on your own. If you haven't read the first two books in the series it is advised that you do so. I am so in love with what I learned about Layne and I love how his character is developing and I am learning more about him. He is such a tortured soul fighting what he knows he should do and what his heart desires. This book really showed me a glimpse into the heart of him.

The struggles that Heaven and Dylan face as they try to start their journey together is faced with challenges and struggles. It is through their love for each other that will only see them through it all. So Kelli you have me hooked, line and sinker. I love an author that can pull me into the story and have me walking the steps with the characters and that is what I feel I have done with this book. Do I recommend this book... Yes! Do I think it deserves five stars... No I think it deserves a million stars. I love, love, love this book and I look forward to the next chapter in this story and to find out what journey you will take me on next

“You’re not a jealous jerk. You’re just a man, trying to protect what he loves.” He tried to look away, but she pressed her hands to his face, holding it in place. “Nothing will ever change the way I feel about you. Even if Layne was head-over-heels for me, he isn't you. My connection with him is fueling his emotions. He’ll work through them.”

His eyes wavered with emotion, as did their bond. “I know you love me. I've never questioned that, except for Aruba, and that was because of my stubbornness. I've come close to losing you twice because of it. I don’t want it to happen again.”

“I’m not going anywhere.” She grabbed his hand, placing it against her stomach. “We’re bound, Dylan. In heart, in soul, in every breath we take. I will always be yours.”

His lips pressed together as he feigned a smile. “Deep down, I know you’re right. I shouldn't let it bother me, but I can’t help it. Before you came into my life, he was my closest friend. We've been through a lot.”

“And I complicated that.” Her eyes fell to the floor, but only for a moment. His fingers slid under her chin as he nudged it upward.

“No, you completed me. You gave me the one thing I've searched for my entire life…you.”
