“You have no idea whatsoever the places I want to touch or the things I want to do to you, Shelby. Every part of you turns me the fuck on.” 
I gyrate my hips into her backside so she can feel just how turned on I am. 
“I- I want you to touch me.” 
My eyes go wide and my ears perk up. Oh, fuck. Please tell me I heard her right. 
“Where do you want me to touch you?” 
She hesitates a moment before answering. 
“Anywhere you want.” 
Her breathing picks up and fuck, her ass pushes back into me as if to give me the green light to go ahead. 
“Spread your legs,” I command. 
Feeling her pulse quicken, I continue having my way with her by sucking and kissing her neck. I love the way her body is so responsive to mine. “Jayden,” I said in warning.

“Okay.” He let out a long breath. “It’s like a tidal wave that’s impossible to stop. I just get sad and a little scared. It’s not clinical, but it’s rough. I feel like everything’s wrong. Nothing will get better. You know, hopeless.” I nodded as I felt the discomfort he was feeling from telling me. “It doesn’t happen a lot, once or twice a year, and it doesn’t last long. It’s not even really a symptom of ADHD. I don’t know. I guess my racing brain just gets tired and I shut down. It’s all about the chemicals in my brain. You know what ADHD is, right?”

“I’m beginning to think I don’t,” I said honestly. “I started to look it up the other night and then your mom called.”

“My mom called?”

“Yes, we are going to a barbeque Saturday.”

“No shit,” he said, smiling.

Jayden picked up a sponge from the side of the tub and poured some liquid soap on it to suds it up then began rubbing my leg with it. “She’s going to love you, Hilary.”

“Oh yeah, how do you know that?”

“I know her.” He grinned.

Jayden’s sponge drifted over my stomach as he crept closer to me. Still working his sponge, he managed to lift me by my arms, pulling me into his seated lap. I felt his growing hardness as I wrapped my legs around him. His muscled arms firmly around me, he used the sponge on my back as he stared into my eyes. “I missed you.”

“You didn’t have to,” I protested, looking away. I didn’t want to cry again. I didn’t want him to think of me as weak. I wanted him to be able to trust that I could handle it.

“Look at me,” he ordered gently, gripping me tighter as he continued to bathe me. “I wasn’t there.”

I nodded. “I’ll live. I . . . You didn’t tell me about that part.”

“Do you have any idea how hard it is to explain to the person you are falling for that they might not want to reciprocate your affection because you may on occasion have an uncontrollable, explosive temper tantrum? Or that you may pop off with inappropriate comments at any point in time that could alienate them? Oh, and don’t forget the controlling, OCD tendencies with a small, short-lived side of anxiety and depression. Or better yet, how to explain you weren’t listening to something important they were trying to convey because you were too busy figuring out the difference between jelly and jam.”

“Just like that,” I answered, knowing it wasn’t that simple.

About Kate:

I grew up in Texas and moved to Florida when I met the love of my life 14 years ago. I wrote my first poem when I was five and it was about my love affair with pickles. I still love pickles but I like to think my writing has grown since then.

I absolutely adore anything to do with books whether it's writing them or devouring them in one sitting. I live on music, love, and sweet tea. I am known for my silly but blunt personality. Bare chest heaving, Colin kneels on the edge of the mattress staring: drinking me in with
those insatiable midnight blues. He doesn’t speak, he doesn’t have to. I can see everything written in the tight clench of his jaw, the tension easing as his gaze lingers over my body. He wants me, but it’s more than that. More than need, more than lust. The shadow covering his face is not enough to hide his love. I may be dinner, but it’s a feast worthy of a king.

An unexpected moan escapes my parted lips, yanking his gaze back to mine. He smiles a

“We’re having a threesome,” Zack announced with a grin.
Heather was comfortable with her battery-operated-boyfriend, and maybe that would help them transition to the big show. And he was also curious what he had to measure up to. He’d never actually used one before himself, he liked doing things the old-fashioned way, so this would be new for him too.
Heather shot up to sit and glare at him. “I don’t think so, cowboy,” she said, scooting toward the foot of the bed. Zack grabbed her arm, and she tried to pull away.

“With Bob,” he clarified, laughter bubbling in his throat. “Where do you keep him?”

“Oh!” she said, then her eyes narrowed. “Really?”

“Really,” Zack confirmed.

Heather huffed a breath as she collapsed on her back on the bed. “You had me scared there for a second.” The tremble in her voice made him sorry he’d teased her.

With a growl, he laid beside her and put his arm over her waist. She looked at him, and he held her gaze. “I will never do anything to scare or hurt you, Heather. You’re still in control, angel. Always in control. Do you understand?” She nodded, and he kissed her forehead. “Now where does Bob sleep?” he asked, with a laugh, trying to get her comfortable again.

“In the nightstand drawer,” she replied with a giggle. “He has a nice, comfy velvet sleeping bag in there.”

“Only the best for Bob,” Zack said. He rolled to the edge of the bed, sat up and pulled open the drawer. Fishing around blindly, his pinkie brushed velvet, and his hand closed over a very small pouch, which confused him. “Bob’s awfully small,” he commented pulling out the pouch to loosen the strings. He emptied the small silver bullet and rubber ring out into his hand and was even more confused.

“Bob is a vibrator, not a dildo. That’s in the closet, because I kind of bought one that was a little too big.” She rolled up behind him, then sat up to take the vibrator from his hand. Shoving it into the rubber sheath, Heather slid it onto her forefinger, and wiggled it. “Voila—instant orgasm. No man needed,” she said smugly.

“Yeah, but how will it be with a real man behind the controls?” Zack asked, sliding the rubber band from her finger to put it on own. He wiggled it under her nose. “Put on your seatbelt, baby—Bob is on the bus, but Zack is driving it to O-town.”



VIDA'S REVIEW


This was a hilarious and great read from beginning to end. One thing that Becky can do is write a hot cowboy and the sassy but fierce heroine who tames him. Zach is at the top of his game in bullriding and has a game plan for after he retires in two years after saving up enough money. Heather who has had a devastating childhood but did what it takes to survive is having the best night of her life. Unfortunately one wrong encounter leads to changes that neither is expecting. Deciding to look after Zach when he's injured saving her a connection grows between the pair, and an intense chemistry burns brighter. Before you know it, Zach and Heather's sarcastic and humorous banter turns into something so much more intense, raw, and steamy. These characters can take what they can dish out. The back and forth, the love/hate relationship that these two had, kept a smile on my face the whole way through. Compelling, sexy, and intriguing, TOO HOT TO TROT is a must read you will not be able to put it down.

Tied Up In Heartstrings Synopsis

Tragedy ripped the security from her life. Left a single mother, Alexis's fear of loss insulates her from the rest of the world. Her best friends from college and close family are the only people she keeps close.

A man from her past has always been in love with Alexis. He’s never met anyone that measures up to her. Garrett is a musician, who never really imagined he’d have the fame and fortune that he's found. But, even with that, what he's always wanted is out of reach... or is it?

When Garrett and Alexis meet up by chance a relationship begins. Neither expected what happens. She can’t be sure she’s ready for the complications a relationship brings. He will have to work overtime to win her heart without any assurances it will be successful.

Alexis is learning about life without Jed, and is feeling more secure with parenting on her own. Garrett appreciates his fans and is enjoying his life on the road but misses having a private life. She spends most of her days holed up in a cozy chair with a cup of tea and her laptop, writing about the characters that live in her head.
